NMC Recognition & FMGL 2021 Rules for MBBS Abroad
NMC does not publish a blanket 'approved country' list — recognition is judged per student and per college against the Foreign Medical Graduate Licentiate (FMGL) Regulations, 2021. If you meet every FMGL condition and clear the FMGE/NExT, your foreign MBBS is valid for registration in India.
How NMC recognition actually works
The FMGL 2021 checklist

| Internship | Minimum 12 months |
| Same country | Course, internship and degree all in one country |
| Medium | English |
| Local licence | Degree must let you practise in the country of study |
| India licence | Pass FMGE / NExT, then register with NMC/State Medical Council |
